Seminar on ‘Eloquence in Imam Ali’s Sermons’ Discussed in Karbala
A scholarly seminar on “Eloquence in Imam Ali’s Sermons” was held on April 30 at “Sayyed Al-Awsiya” Hall of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine in Karbala, Iraq.
A scholarly seminar on “Eloquence in Imam Ali’s Sermons” was held on April 30 at “Sayyed Al-Awsiya” Hall of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine in Karbala, Iraq.
According to the holy shrine’s website, the seminar was organized on the second anniversary of the publication of “Dawat Al-Muhkamah” magazine published by the Arabic Language Center of the shrine.
Haydar al-Salami, head of the Media Department, said that the technical and rhetorical issues in the sermons of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, in Nahjul Balagha were investigated in the program.
He added that the main objective of the seminar was to introduce the linguistic aspects of the sermons and disseminate the thoughts of the infallible Imam, peace be upon him, as the model of the true Islamic thought which calls to brotherhood and moderation.
The program was attended by academic figures and experts of Arabic language and literature from different universities of Iraq.
