At least 16 people were killed when a bomb exploded on a bus in Pakistan’s north-western city of Peshawar, officials said.
The attack took place as the bus carrying government workers passed through the crowded shopping district of Saddar.
Senior police official Mohammad Kashif Zulfiqar said at least 16 people were killed and dozens were injured in the blast whereas the wounded were taken to Peshawar’s main Lady Reading Hospital, spokesman Jamil Shah said, adding that the death toll could raise.
Meanwhile, no group has so far claimed responsibility for Wednesday’s attack.
