Pakistan on Wednesday hanged four militants linked to a Taliban
Pakistan on Wednesday hanged four militants linked to a Taliban massacre at a school in the city of Peshawar, the first time it has executed anyone convicted in the attack, in which more than 150 people were killed. Survivors of the assault, in which the majority of the victims killed by Taliban gunmen were children, expressed their happiness to hear of the executions. The last year attack shocked and outraged the country, which is already scarred by nearly a decade of unrest.
