World’s Largest Handwritten Quran Completed in Istanbul

Iraqi calligrapher Ali Zaman has completed the world’s largest handwritten Quran in Istanbul after six years of continuous work.

According to Anadolu Agency, the monumental manuscript features pages measuring four meters in length and one and a half meters in width, making it one of the most remarkable feats of modern Islamic art.

The project was completed with the intention of being archived in Turkey as a national cultural treasure.

Zaman’s son, Rekar Zaman, described the achievement as a symbol of artistic excellence and enduring legacy in Turkish calligraphy, highlighting its significance in preserving the spiritual and aesthetic traditions of the Islamic world.
