The Novi Pazar Quran School in Serbia is being highlighted as a pivotal center for Quranic education and the revival of Islamic identity among Bosnian Muslims in the Balkans, Iqna.ir reported. Established in 2010, the school teaches the Quran and its interpretation to thousands of students, ranging in age from 6 to 70 years old.

According to Director Irfan Malich, the institution, affiliated with the Islamic Board of Serbia, boasts over 3,000 students spread across more than 30 branches, not only within Serbia, including Belgrade, but also in European countries hosting Bosnian Muslim populations. The school offers a comprehensive curriculum, from foundational Arabic letters to full Quran memorization.

The Novi Pazar Quran School has achieved notable success in international Quran competitions, including securing first place in a prestigious Mecca competition. Its establishment is seen as a significant spiritual development, particularly in a country where, decades prior, Quran memorization was virtually non-existent due a period of religious persecution during the communist era. The school is credited with fostering a renewed interest in and commitment to Islamic identity within the region.
