CAIR files complaint against Domino’s over alleged anti-Muslim incident in Michigan
The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has filed an official complaint against a Domino’s Pizza branch in Michigan after a Muslim family was allegedly subjected to a discriminatory and humiliating incident.
According to the complaint submitted to the state’s Civil Rights Department, two Muslim women and their children were served a pizza containing pork and what appeared to be human hair, despite specifically requesting a halal meal. The incident was reportedly accompanied by hateful remarks from a staff member.
CAIR emphasized that the act was not a simple mistake, but a deliberate, hostile message targeting the family’s faith. The organization criticized Domino’s management for failing to take disciplinary action or offer a formal apology, calling the lack of response a serious violation of anti-discrimination laws.
CAIR pledged to pursue accountability and urged American Muslims to report similar incidents. The case has sparked outrage and renewed concerns over rising Islamophobia in service industries.
