The tenth day marks the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, and it is the day on which the blessed Husseini rituals are performed such as Tatbir and the Twereej Run.
The holy shrines lay the courtyards with red carpets and cover the entrances with sand in order for the rituals to be performed easily and smoothly.
Meanwhile, preparations are taking place on the Qibla Street of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, to receive the mourning processions in the first ten days of the blessed month of Muharram.
