Al-Yasiri said in a press conference, “The province of Najaf apologizes for not receiving pilgrims who wish to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of the Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him, on the twenty-third of Ramadan, as a result of the current health condition due to the coronavirus pandemic.”
Al-Yasiri added that the local government is working in high coordination with the security services in Karbala and the neighboring provinces to counter any terrorist operations in the Najaf desertc
He pointed out that “the province has now started controlling the virus and for ten days it has not recorded a new infection.”
