Restoration works of Al-Alqami Gate of Al-Abbas Holy Shrine

The Engineering Projects Department at Al-Abbas Holy Shrine has begun the restoration works of the Al-Alqami Gate, which is one of the most important entrances to the Holy Shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him).

The head of the department, Eng. Diaa Majeed Al-Sayegh, said in a statement followed by Shia Waves News Agency, “The development and modernization project at the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine has reached the Al-Alqami Gate, which is one of the most important entrances to the Holy Shrine.”

 The gate, which is located on the western part of the Holy Shrine, will be renovated and gilded.

According to Al-Sayegh, “the expansion project for the Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) Holy Shrine has included many sub-projects like this one, which together constitute the main parts of this large and vital project, to accommodate more pilgrims during the massive pilgrimages.”
