Mourning ceremonies are being held in Husseiniyahs, Islamic centers and houses of Ahlulbayt followers, peace be upon them, where the blessed biography of the great woman and the sorrowful tragedy of her martyrdom are remembered. 

Sayyeda Zainab, peace be upon her, the daughter of Imam Ali and the sister of Imam Hussein, peace be upon them all, is buried in the Syrian capital of Damascus.
