Kadhumiya Holy Shrine hoists black banners for martyrdom anniversary of Imam Muhammad al-Jawad

The General Secretariat of Kadhumiya Holy Shrine organized the annual banner replacement ceremony for the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Muhammad al-Jawad, peace be upon him. 

 

The General Secretariat of Kadhumiya Holy Shrine organized the annual banner replacement ceremony for the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Muhammad al-Jawad, peace be upon him. 

The ceremony was attended by representatives of Iraq’s holy shrines in Karbala, Najaf and Samarra, security forces headed by the Commander of the Baghdad Operations and dignitaries. 

During the ceremony, speeches were delivered on the biography of Imam al-Jawad, peace be upon him, and the hardships he faced in the path of religion.

Then the banners of Imam Musa al-Kadhum and Imam Muhammad al-Jawad, peace be upon them, were replaced with black ones, signifying grief and sorrow, while eulogies were recited.
