European Union Delegation Visits Imam Hussein Shrine in Karbala, Explores Its Religious and Cultural Heritage

A delegation from the European Union visited the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) in the city of Karbala, where they toured the facilities of the Holy Shrine and learned about its religious, historical, and cultural landmarks.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), the delegation was honored to visit the sacred shrine and toured several sections of the complex, receiving explanations about its significance and the heritage sites it contains.
The delegation members expressed their appreciation for the warm reception they received during the visit, highlighting their admiration for the religious and architectural features they observed, as well as the spiritual atmosphere that characterizes the shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), the Master of Martyrs.
The visit comes as part of the Holy Shrine’s ongoing program to welcome delegations and visitors from various countries around the world, aiming to introduce them to the religious and historical importance of the city of Karbala and the universal human values represented by the Hussaini movement.
The Public Relations Department noted that receiving official delegations and visitors from inside and outside Iraq is among its key responsibilities, with the goal of presenting the religious and cultural heritage of the Holy Shrine and strengthening communication with international institutions and organizations.
