Karbala Continues Upgrading Pilgrim Transport Areas Ahead of Arbaeen Visit
————————————–
Engineering and technical teams in Karbala are continuing field projects as part of preparations to receive millions of visitors during the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), with a focus on improving service plans and traffic management.
Specialized teams have begun paving works on the newly developed road leading to Al-Salam transport area along the Babil route. The project aims to improve vehicle movement, facilitate entry and exit flows, and reduce traffic congestion on one of the main approaches to Karbala.
The works are part of the provincial plan to rehabilitate and develop pilgrim transport areas and enhance transportation infrastructure, helping organize vehicle movement and provide smoother access during the peak arrival period of visitors from across Iraq.
Officials said the service projects are being implemented according to a timetable to ensure completion before the Arbaeen pilgrimage. Work is continuing on various technical and logistical requirements to improve transportation efficiency and provide better conditions for welcoming millions of pilgrims.
