………….
More than 1,100 service and mourning processions took part in commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Imam al-Hasan al-Askari (peace be upon him) in Samarra, the Holy Shrine’s Rituals Division announced. This large-scale participation reflects the deep spiritual connection of Iraqi citizens and followers of Ahlulbayt to this solemn occasion.
The division coordinated permits and logistical support for processions from various provinces, ensuring optimal services for visitors. A comprehensive plan was implemented by the shrine’s procession authority to organize arrivals, movement, and coordination with security and service agencies for a safe, well-managed event.
Processions were equipped with necessary infrastructure including tents, electricity, and 24-hour support. Millions of pilgrims from across Iraq and abroad gathered in Samarra on Monday, 8 Rabi’ al-Awwal, expressing solidarity and devotion inspired by Imam al-Askari’s legacy through this significant religious gathering.
