As the Arba’een pilgrimage to Karbala approaches, Astan Quds Razavi, the Custodian of the Imam Reza Shrine (peace be upon him), has mobilized 1,000 of its servants to establish and operate support camps, or “Mukibs,” in several Iraqi cities.

According to a report from Tasnim News Agency, the servants are setting up camps in key pilgrimage hubs including Najaf, Karbala, Kadhimiya, and Samarra. This initiative, coordinated with Arba’een operations, expands the Shrine’s service efforts to border crossings and various Iraqi cities.

Multiple teams, including official caravans and grassroots groups, have been dispatched to Iraq to provide a wide range of services. These include distributing thousands of meals daily, offering basic medical care, and organizing cultural programs. The initiative, which began in late July, will continue beyond Arba’een.

Tasnim News also noted that a dedicated group of shoe-keepers has resumed its annual service in Kadhimiya, providing thousands of meals daily to pilgrims. The servants will return to Mashhad after the pilgrimage to assist in ceremonies for the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Reza (peace be upon him).
