The first integrated communications network in Iraq has been inaugurated at the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in Najaf, Shia Waves Persian reported. This innovative project, launched by the Alawi Holy Shrine in the presence of the Iraqi Minister of Communications, aims to significantly enhance connectivity for pilgrims.

The newly established network features over 350 connection points, providing high-speed call and internet coverage across five floors of the shrine and extending up to 14 meters underground. Designed to simultaneously support 100,000 pilgrims, the system is considered an advanced model for communication services, particularly vital during the massive Arbaeen pilgrimage. Iraqi officials have lauded this initiative as a significant technological leap in serving pilgrims visiting the holy site.
