“Mofid” App Launches Free Accommodation Booking for Arbaeen Pilgrims
———————————–
The “Mofid” application has announced the launch of its free electronic booking service for Arbaeen pilgrims’ accommodation, effective from the first of Safar 1447 AH (July 26, 2025), Shia Waves Persian reported. This initiative aims to facilitate the journey of pilgrims to the holy city of Karbala.
This innovative service, implemented in cooperation with over 1,500 hosts, including homeowners and Husseiniyas (Shia congregational halls) in both Iraq and Iran, can accommodate more than 75,000 pilgrims daily. The humanitarian project seeks to ensure safe and comfortable stays for Arbaeen pilgrims and improve the management of accommodation and hospitality through an easy-to-use interface.
Pilgrims can select and book their accommodation using an electronic link, with direct multi-language communication and 24-hour technical support also available. Individuals interested in hosting pilgrims can also register on the application, reinforcing the culture of sacrifice and Husseini hospitality during this special season.
According to “Mofid” officials, citizens from over 25 countries have joined this digital initiative. The number of hosts in Iraq is expected to increase during Arbaeen, demonstrating the strong connection among pilgrims from various countries journeying towards the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
