Embroidered Quran: A Five-Year Masterpiece by Afghan Female Artist

An Afghan female artist has embroidered the entire text of the Holy Quran using thread and needle on fabric, Abna24 reported.

This young artist, hailing from the Tolk district of Afghanistan, has dedicated five years to create the Quran in six volumes through her embroidery work.

The exquisite piece is arranged on pages measuring 70 by 50 centimeters, with each volume weighing 10 kilograms.

To create this unique work, the Afghan artist used over 150 meters of fabric and 1,200 rolls of thread.

The embroidered Quran is a rare example of the fusion of traditional art with religious themes, executed with high precision and delicacy. This artistic innovation represents a significant step in preserving and promoting Afghanistan’s handicrafts.
