After securing the support of other Eastern European countries, Azerbaijan is going to host next year’s climate change summit of the United Nations (COP 29).
The hosts of the UN climate change summit are usually announced several years in advance, but the impasse over the selection of the COP29 host has left Azerbaijan little time to prepare.
This year’s United Nations Climate Change Summit in the United Arab Emirates was the largest summit with more than 110,000 participating delegations.
