Head of Misbah Al-Hussein Foundation meets Iraqi Minister of Labour and Social Affairs

A delegation from Misbah al-Hussein Foundation for Relief and Development met with Iraqi Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Ahmed al-Asadi on December 1, 2023.

The head of the foundation Abdul Sahib Al-Kishwan discussed the minister the foundation’s ‘Charter on Protection of Iraq’s Orphans’ project, which has been under study for more than two years now.

The project aims to enact a law and establish a special body for Iraqi orphans. The delegation presented the minister with a detailed study on the project, which includes legal and statistical data on the orphan population in Iraq.

Minister al-Asadi expressed his support for the project and said that he will work to implement it as soon as possible. He praised the efforts of the Misbah al-Hussein Foundation and said that the project is a valuable contribution to Iraqi society.
