200 Holy Quran memorizers win top prizes in Indonesia Quran memorization contest
The director of the International Quranic Da’wah Center in the Indonesian capital, Dr. Abdullah Bek, confirmed the success of the Quranic courses in creating a generation of Quran memorizers.
Bek’s announcement came at the conclusion of the contest held by the center, affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein, for the sixth consecutive year, for memorizing the Quran, with the participation of (200) man and woman contestants.
He explained that “the contest included several events, including reading activities and a religious lecture, in addition to other poetic recitation activities, with gifts distributed to the winners.”
He continued: “The contest revealed tremendous Quranic talents among the participants, and the biggest role goes to their parents who instilled in their hearts love for the Quran.”
Bek stressed that “all Muslims should adhere to the Thaqalaan, the Book of God and the descendants of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his pure family.”
