DR Congo: ISIS-backed rebels gun down 2 Ugandan soldiers, 2 civilians in car park attack

Rebels backed by the ISIS terrorist Organization (Daesh) have killed two Ugandan soldiers in an attack that also left two civilians and a suspected assailant dead in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, TRT AFRIKA reported on Saturday.

The attack was perpetrated by Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) at a car park in Kasindi, Beni territory, a provincial civil servant confirmed.

The extremist terrorist group (ISIS) claimed the attack in a statement posted to the messaging app Telegram on Saturday evening.

The ADF gained a foothold in the region in the 1990s and are accused of killing thousands of civilians.
