Misbah Al-Hussein Foundation attends humanitarian program hosted by United Nations Office in Erbil

Misbah Al-Hussein Foundation for Relief and Development, through its major humanitarian projects, recorded its distinguished presence during the development program hosted by the United Nations Development Office in Iraq in the governorate of Erbil.

In a statement to Shia Waves Agency, the director of the foundation, Abdul-Sahib Al-Kishwan, said: “The development program discussed the topic of social cohesion and its role in building the society, and the Foundation recorded its distinguished presence alongside a number of active civil society organizations in Iraq.”

He continued: “The two-day program included a special participation in the discussion sessions on social cohesion and its role in society, and we emphasized its roles; for its positive impact in contributing to resolving many conflicts and reducing violence through the application of conflict analysis tools.”

Al-Kishwan explained that “during the sessions, we reviewed a number of initiatives and projects that the Foundation is undertaking, most notably the ‘Iraqi Orphans Protection Charter’ project and an initiative for the Foundation’s free legal aid center, in addition to the pre-marriage training initiative,” stressing that “this was met with the approval and agreement of most participants.”

He also mentioned that “during the sessions, we introduced the Holy Karbala Vision 2030 project: 50 Million Pilgrims During the Holy Arbaeen,” adding that “the project member Mr. Adel Al-Moussawi attended the session, during which the latest visions and proposed were discussed.”
