Sources from Basra said that the walk started from al-Faw district, south of the province, towards the holy Karbala, to participate in the commemoration of Arbaeen, adding that the service tent of al-Zahra, peace be upon her, in al-Bahari district received the pilgrims.

It is noteworthy that the Arbaeen walk starts every year from the Ras al-Bisha area in al-Faw district, which is the southernmost region in Iraq, on the 20th of the month of Safar.
