Watching electronic devices plays role in slow growth of children, new research finds
A group of researchers in America published the results of their research on the impact of tablets and smart phones on children’s development on Monday, August 21.
These scientists have found that continuous use of such devices for more than an hour is associated with underdevelopment of communication, movement and problem-solving skills in children.
According to the results of this research, one-year-old children who were exposed to the screen of electronic devices for one to four hours a day were three times more likely to suffer from delayed growth by the age of two.
Experts say that healthier options such as books, coloring materials and toys can provide good alternatives to smart devices for children.
