6 people killed in knife attack on kindergarten in China

At least six people were killed in an alleged knife attack on a kindergarten in China on Monday, Aljazeera reported.

The incident occurred around 7:40 a.m. in Hengshan town of Lianjiang city in southern Guangdong province, a spokeswoman for the city government confirmed.

The “intentional assault case” took the lives of one teacher, two parents and three students.

The 25-year-old suspect, surnamed Wu, is said to have used a knife in the attack.

China has seen violent attacks in schools in recent years, with over 50 individuals killed and several more wounded.
