Imam Ali Holy Shrine hands banner of Eid-ul-Ghadir to Imam Hussein Holy Shrine
The head of the Public Relations Department at Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, Abdul Amir al-Mansouri, said today Sunday that the Secretariat-General of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine received the banner of Eid-ul-Ghadir from the Imam Ali Holy Shrine in preparation for this great occasion.
Al-Mansouri said in statements followed by Shia Waves Agency that, “The Imam Hussein Holy Shrine received a delegation from the Imam Ali Holy Shrine who delivered the banner that will be raised next to Imam Hussein Shrine on Eid-ul-Ghadir.”
He added that, “The banner was handed by the member of the Board of Directors at Imam Ali Holy Shrine, Abdul Hadi Al-Ibrahimi, as a gift from Imam Ali, peace be upon him, to his son, Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.”
It should be mentioned that Eid-ul-Ghadir is the occasion on which the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his family, declared Imam Ali, peace be upon him, as his successor.
Amid thousands of Muslims, the Prophet, peace be upon him and his family, raised Imam Ali’s blessed hand and said to the top of his voice, “For whomever I am a master (Moula), this is Ali his master (Moula).”
