New report says Sudanese children in camps die on daily basis due to malnutrition, unsanitary conditions

With the armed conflicts in Sudan ongoing since last April between the Rapid Support Forecs (RSF) and the Sudanese army, humanitarian organizations have repeatedly voiced their concerns over the deterioration circumstances in the country.

A new report by the CNN said that malnutrition and unsanitary conditions are triggering an epidemic of communicable diseases in border camps at South Sudan, causing a girl or a boy to die every day.

The UN estimated that at least 860 people were killed since the armed conflicts erupted on April 15 between the army and the RSFs who are trying to take control of the country.

It added that 6,000 people were injured across Sudan as of June, half a million people have fled the country and more than 1.4 million are now internally displaced.
