Hajj Delegation of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi in Medina continues its religious and cultural activities

Muslims all over the world are preparing to perform the ritual of Hajj – the fifth pillar of Islam and the most significant manifestation of the Islamic faith and unity.

Undertaking the Hajj at least once is an obligatory duty for Muslims who are physically and financially able to make the journey to Makkah. 

The Hajj delegation of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi has begun its cultural and religious activities in Holy Medina, to offer guidance to the honorable pilgrims in their Hajj performance.

According to the correspondent of Shia Waves Agency in Medina, members of the Hajj delegation of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi have visited the Hajj delegation of Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Hussein Wahid Qurasani and they met his son.

The two sides discussed issues related to Hajj and other theological and jurisprudential issues.

The correspondent continued that, “The delegation of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi also visited the office of the delegation of Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Musal al-Shabiri al-Zanjani.

On its second day in Medina, the Shirazi delegation have received representatives of Shia Religious Authorities, scholars, dignitaries and crowds of believers.

The delegation members have carried out campaigns to answer religious enquiries and to help pilgrims perform their Hajj according to Islamic rules.

The correspondent continued that, “Congregational prayers are being held on a daily basis led by the son of late Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad Al-Husseini Al-Shirazi, Ayatollah Sayyid Mehdi Al-Shirazi.”

He concluded that, “The Shirazi delegation had visited earlier the Hajj delegation of Grand Ayatollah Al-Sistani, and were received by his deputy Sayyid Jawad Al-Shihristani and other scholars.”

The Hajj delegation of Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq Al-Husseini Al-Shirazi carries out its religious and cultural campaigns in Median ahead of the Hajj season to provide pilgrims to Makkah with the support they need in their spiritual journey.
