Foundation president and supervisor of project, Sheikh Mustafa al-Muhammadi, said that the project started by registering and documenting the names and information of orphans in Iraq, through filling special forms on the Foundation’s website, stressing that the project aims to establish a committee concerned with orphan care and removing the injustice from them.
He added, the Foundation has started registering the names of orphans in Karbala in cooperation with the province, and soon expand this work to the rest of the provinces.
“The project includes many programs in order to find work opportunities for orphans, including employment and the provision of food for them as well as establishing educational training courses in various professions and crafts.”
This project comes following the directives of Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq Husseini al-Shirazi for the need to protect and support the orphans.
