Adam Centre for defending Rights and Freedoms discusses role of NGOs in opposing authoritarian governments

The Adam Centre for defending rights and freedoms, and as part of its monthly intellectual activities, has held a symposium titled “The Role of the Non-Governmental Organizations in Opposition the State Tyranny – the Right to Litigation as a Model”.

The paper was presented by the academic and researcher at the Centre, Dr. Alaa Ibrahim Al-Husseini.

Al-Husseini, who chaired the meeting, said, “Defending the rights and freedoms based on legal means is an obligation upon all of us, in order to prevent tyranny and to restrain those in power from misuse of official positions”.

It should be mentioned that a number of research centres directors, lawyers, journalists and academics attended the meeting.
