Karbala: Local authorities pledge to boost tourism, provide best services to pilgrims
The Governor of Holy Karbala, Nsaif Al-Khattabi, said on Wednesday, that the local government is dedicating more efforts to provide the best services to the pilgrims of Imam Hussein and Abu Al-Fadl Al-Abbas, peace be upon them.
During presiding over a meeting with societal police members in Holy Karbala, followed by Shia Waves Agency, Al-Khattabi said, “The continuing developmental projects in the province are reflecting on attracting more pilgrims from across the world.”
Al-Khattabi pointed out that, “The Societal Police Department, Tourism Security Department and the Tourism and Antiquity Department have been directed to launch awareness campaigns to educate owners of restaurants and hotels.”
He concluded that the local government is committed to developing the tourism sector in the holy city of Karbala.
