UN: Nearly 260 million people faced acute food shortage in 2022

Conflicts, climate change, severe impact of the Corona pandemic and the ongoing war in Ukraine forced 258 million people in 58 countries into acute food shortage on 2022, according to the Global Report on Food Crises.

The UN-founded organization said in its report that people faced severe hunger and death in Somalia, Afghanistan, Burkina Faso, Haiti, Nigeria, South Sudan and Yemen.
