Sudan: Death toll reaches 270 amid shortage of medical supplies

The clashes between Sudan’s armed forces and the Rapid Support Forces have been ongoing for four days, with over 270 fatalities and 2,600 injuries as reported by the WHO.

Despite agreeing on a 24-hour truce, the factions resumed fighting in central Khartoum on Tuesday.

Gunmen have raided the residences of UN-staff, sexually abused women and stolen possessions, a UN document reads.

It should be mentioned that the shortage of medical supplies, blood, and electricity is jeopardizing lifesaving medical treatments, according to Medical charity Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF).
