Iraq: To reduce congestion, multi-storey car park is now under construction in Holy Najaf

As part of the service projects Imam Ali Holy Shrine is conducting in Holy Najaf to provide honorable pilgrims to Imam Ali, peace be upon him, with facilities to perform their pilgrimage, the engineering cadres have begun work on a multi-storey car park on the western side leading to the shrine of the Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him.

For more details on the project, Hasan al-Jabari, a member of the Board of Directors of the Holy Shrine, said in a statement: “The new multi-storey car park is part of the projects of the Holy Shrine to serve pilgrims.

The plot allocated for the project has been prepared with an area of approximately 150,000 m2.” Millions of pilgrims come to holy Najaf around the year to perform pilgrimage to the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali, peace be upon him, and such projects can contribute in reducing traffic congestion.
