Iraq announces the reopening of the Zarbatiya-Mehran border crossing
The Governor of the Iraqi province of Wasit, Muhammad Jamil al-Mayahi, announced yesterday, the reopening of Zurbatiya-Mehran border crossing with Iran for commercial purposes after Eid al-Fitr.
The Governor of the Iraqi province of Wasit, Muhammad Jamil al-Mayahi, announced yesterday, the reopening of Zurbatiya-Mehran border crossing with Iran for commercial purposes after Eid al-Fitr.
In a brief statement, al-Mayahi stated that the consignments of imported goods through this border crossing reached a remarkable number within one month, amounting to 3 billion dinars per month.
The Zurbatiya – Mehran border crossing is located 2 kilometers southwest of the Iranian “Ilam” province, alongside Iraq, and it was closed with the aim of curbing the outbreak of the coronavirus.
