In the vicinity of the Holy Shrine of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (peace be upon him), the Ramadan Iftar program has been launched to provide fasting pilgrims with fresh meals.
The assistant head of the Refectory Department, Miqdad Jabbar, said in a statement received by Shia Waves Agency, that, “We have started the Ramadan Iftar program of up to 2,000 meals on the first night of Ramadan in the courtyard of Sayyeda Fatima (peace be upon her).”
He added, “The program includes daily distribution of 250-500 meals to poor and needy families, with the distribution of daily meals to the nursing home and the orphan care center, in addition to patients in hospitals and students in dormitories.”
