On World Day of Social Justice, Shirazi World Foundation calls for more efforts to achieve justice
The International ‘Shirazi Foundation’ participated in the celebrations held on the ‘International Day of Social Justice’, that was observed on Feb. 20th, organized by the UN General Assembly.
In a message received by Shia Waves Agency, The Foundation warned of the widening gap of poverty and suffering endured by thousands of poor people around the world and the need to ensure a decent life for them.
The Foundation considered that “the concept of social justice with its basic factors of human rights, issues of poverty, corruption, and development issues, overlaps with economy in all societal, political, cultural, intellectual, and even environmental aspects.”
The Foundation indicated that “Theories and empty slogans on social justices are amongst the factors that lead to social and political unrest which many countries of the world suffer.”
The Foundation also stated that “the supreme religious authority, His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Shirazi, denounced the separation of the theory and its implementation by the rulers in Islamic countries in solving issues of social justice.”
The Foundation concluded its message: “As we celebrate the International Day of Social Justice, we call on all parties across the world to exert more efforts in order to practically achieve this human value in order for humanity to enjoy prosperity, and happiness.”
