The Remarkable Shandong Agricultural Trade (Malaysia) Expo 2026 brought together nearly 100 companies from six cities and regions across China’s Shandong province, showcasing more than 1,100 agricultural products at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from 14 to 16 September.

The second edition of the expo placed greater emphasis on halal standards, market access and cross-border supply-chain cooperation, with the aim of connecting Shandong producers with buyers and distribution networks in Malaysia and other ASEAN markets.

Five strategic cooperation agreements were signed during the event, covering areas including agricultural trade, food processing, the livestock and halal industries, as well as trade and investment promotion.

Officials and business representatives also highlighted Malaysia’s halal certification system as a potential gateway for Shandong products seeking access to ASEAN and other international markets.
