Scholarly meetings of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi continue at his residence in Holy Qom

Grand Ayatollah, Sayed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, held his scholarly meetings on Islamic jurisprudence and beliefs at his honorable house in Holy Qom.

In the scholarly meeting of his Eminence, held on Wednesday, 15th February, one of the believers asked the following question: “How much reasonable time should be given to a debtor based on verse 280 of chapter Baqara?”

Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi’s answer was as follows: “A debtor must be given reasonable time until they are capable of fulfilling a debt. If they are found financially incapable, the head of the Islamic state must take it upon himself to pay off the debt using the Muslims’ public treasury.”

Scholarly meetings of the Supreme Religious Authority are attended by clerics, scholars, students of religious sciences and large scores of the followers of AhlulBayet, peace be upon them.
