The Iraqi PMU announced, on Saturday, the killing and wounding of a number of ISIS terrorists after fierce clashes in Balad and Mikeishifa regions south of Tikrit.

A statement from the PMU media said that its forces were engaged in fierce clashes against ISIS terrorists in Balad and Mikeishifa regions south of Tikrit, within the Salah al-Din operations sector.

The statement added that the PMU killed and wounded a number of ISIS terrorists during the operation with ground and air support by the Iraqi Federal Police. 

The statement pointed out that 10 of its fighters were martyred and dozens of others wounded, who were evacuated to field hospitals for treatment.
