Baghdad-based AhlulBayet Islamic Thought Center holds intellectual symposium

The AhlulBayet Islamic Thought Center, affiliated to the Shirazi Religious Authority, in Baghdad held a symposium titled, “The Role of the Religious Authority in the Time of Occultation”, with the participation of a delegation from the Shirazi Religious Authority in Holy Qom, headed by Hujjat-ul-Islam wa-al-Muslimeen Sheikh Jalal Maash.

Sheikh Maash emphasized the role of the Religious Authority in defending and preserving the Shias and Shiism across the world. He also stressed that all the Shias should adhere to the eminent religious authorities, who are the link between Imam al-Mahdi, may Allah hasten his honorable reappearance, and the society.

Sheikh Maash also pointed to the need to protect the youth from deviant ideas so that they do not go astray, stressing that this is our responsibility, citing the recommendations of the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, may Allah prolong his life
