Office of Shirazi Religious Authority in Beirut mourns late Ayatollah Sayyed Muhammad Reda Al-Shirazi

The office of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, commemorated martyrdom of the jurist of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad Reda al-Shirazi (may God sanctify his honorable secret), in the presence of a group of scholars, dignitaries, mourners, and the representative of the honorable Authority, Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen, Sheikh Jalal Maash.

A statement by the office, received by Shia Waves Agency), said: “A group of mourners, scholars and virtuous people, including the excellent Jaafari Mufti, His Eminence Sheikh Ahmed Qabalan, attended the memorial service for the late jurist, Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad Reda Al-Shirazi, on the anniversary of his passing.”

It added, “The ceremonies were held in conjunction with the commemoration of the painful tragedy of the martyrdom of Sayyida Fatima Al-Zahra (peace be upon her), and included the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, a religious lecture by His Eminence Sheikh Radwan Darwish, and words that recalled the status of the late deceased and what he presented in supporting the true doctrine.”

The jurist, Ayatollah Shirazi, passed away in the year (2008 AD) while he was at the peak of his religious and humanitarian giving, and after a life he spent serving the doctrine of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and spreading their great sciences.
