National Quranic competition for the visually impaired

This week a Quranic competition was held for blind people in Najaf, Iraq at the holy shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him).

35 contestants from different Iraqi provinces participated in the competition, which lasted over a period of two days.

The competition aims to preserve the special and unique recitation abilities of blind people and give them a chance to flourish.

At the end of the event, the participants were given a tour of the Great Mosque of Kufa.
