Baghdad hosts 3rd conference for interfaith dialogue between Iraq and Vatican

The capital, Baghdad, hosted the meetings of the third conference of the Standing Committee for Interfaith Dialogue between Iraq and the Vatican State at the Council of Ministers Guest House.

The meeting was attended by representatives from the three religious endowments offices in Iraq, representatives of the Ministry of Endowments in the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq, the delegation of the Vatican State, sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the European Department of the Ministry.

Undersecretary of the Ministry, Omar Al-Barzanji, delivered a speech in which he pointed out the importance of holding this conference, which came as a practical embodiment of spreading the values ​​of tolerance, love and peace.

Al-Barzanji pointed out that this conference represents a clear message that Iraq, despite the difficulties it has gone through, is able to build bridges of cooperation and joint action through effective dialogue between different religions.
