The European Commission announced yesterday, Monday, that it began the process of selecting a new European Union coordinator to combat hatred and discrimination against Muslims to succeed the outgoing coordinator, Tommaso Ciamparino.
Speaking at a press conference in Brussels, European Commission spokesman Stephane de Keersemaker stressed the Commission’s commitment and keenness to work to combat hatred, Islamophobia and discrimination against Muslims, within the framework of the European Union’s five-year plan to combat racism 2020-2025.
