Grounds for Imam Hassan Al-Mujtaba courtyard constructions near completion
A member of the Expropriation Committee at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, Ali Fouad Muhammad, announced today, Monday, that the percentage of demolition of existing buildings within the construction area of the courtyard of Imam Hassan Al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him) has reached (99%).
Muhammad said in a press statement, followed by Shia Waves Agency: “The work of preparing the ground space for the construction of the courtyard of Imam Hassan Al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him) is continuing so far, and included the demolition of buildings previously owned by the Husseiniya shrine.”
According to Muhammad, “the total area of the Holy Shrine is 22,000 square meters, and it is one of the important projects aimed at accommodating the increasing number of pilgrims annually.”
He noted that “after the completion of the building removal work for the blessed courtyard, the removal of the buildings within the area designated for the construction of the courtyard of Habib bin Mazahir al-Asadi (peace be upon him) will be initiated.”
