The Preaching Department of the Office of Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi in Najaf, held the first forum of preachers and lecturers in the province of Babylon, in the presence of many scholars and virtues.

Sayyed Muhammad al-Naqib emphasized, in his speech during the forum, the importance of the Husseini pulpit and the influential role of the preachers in all layers of society.

For his part, Sayyed Atallah Al-Husseini, pointed out what the cleric should do in general, stressing that if preaching is not a duty, it is surely a duty of sufficiency, as highlighted by His Eminence the Grand Ayatollah Shirazi.

Al-Husseini called for religious and worldly attention to society, and a near-term plan to confront and respond to the fierce attack on society, as well as a long-term plan to raise the new generation.

The attendees stressed the importance of raising people’s concerns, problems and treatment mechanism, calling for the necessity of renewing meetings and joining efforts to serve Islam according to the teachings of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them.
