On the International Day of Social Justice, the International Non-violence Organization, Free Muslim, called for the necessity of working to compensate the victims of racist measures in the hope of securing civil peace and social security.
The organization stated, in a statement received by Shia Waves, that social justice is still an urgent demand in many countries of the world, and achieving it represents a costly challenge. It has resulted in, and still is, suffering, misery and conflicts of many forms and means.”
It added, that as the international community commemorates the International Day of Social Justice on the twentieth of February, it seizes the opportunity to send a general message to the leaders and rulers that lack social justice, whether the fair distribution of wealth or racial and sectarian discrimination, to call for a review of their policies and procedures that violate the laws human rights belonging to its citizens, pointing to the danger of continuing to ignore the legitimate demands of its peoples.
The organization stressed that historical experiences have proven the futility of arbitrary, tyrannical and dictatorial methods in the face of peoples robbed of rights, and that regret and loss have always been the end of monopoly, exclusion and injustice.
The organization called for the necessity of reviewing political systems for all their procedures that ignore the right of social justice, and working to spread and establish equitable procedures without discrimination between one group, component or social segment over the other, especially with regard to the right to equal opportunities, the right to political participation, the right to expression and opposition, the right to work and education, calling at the same time to work on compensating the victims of racist measures in the hope of securing civil peace and social security.
