The International Nonviolence Organization, Free Muslim, has expressed its strong condemnation of the brutal crime of assault against the President of the All India Muslim Council, Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi, calling on the Indian authorities to track down and hold the aggressors to account soon.
In a statement received by Shia Waves, the organization stated that it had received documented testimonies that Al-Owaisi was subjected to a failed assassination while on the highway returning from participating in an election campaign in Uttar Pradesh (southeast of New Delhi) where two gunmen fired several bullets that hit his car.
The organization stressed that the terrorist operation is behind malicious hands that seek to stir up strife between Muslims and other citizens of India who follow other religions, warning of the consequences and repercussions of efforts to provoke strife across the country.
